Colossians 2:7 says, “Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
One of the most meaningful parts of my daily rhythm is spending time with God — studying His Word, seeking His wisdom, and asking Him to shape my heart for this life He has given me.
I want my roots to grow down deeply into Him. Because truly, what could be more important than having our foundation built on Christ?
Wisdom does not begin with us. Wisdom begins with God — our Creator, our Sustainer, and our firm foundation. Everything else must be built on that Rock.
The Christian life is the outpouring of God’s work within us as His Spirit lives in us, guides us, strengthens us, and teaches us to trust Him from morning until evening.
So how do we grow this firm foundation?
By meditating on His truth.
By applying His Word to our everyday lives.
By choosing Him again and again.
By allowing our faith to be strengthened, established, and deeply rooted in Him.
This is part of growing up in faith — not just knowing about God, but learning to live anchored in Him.
And as our roots grow deeper, our faith grows stronger… and thankfulness begins to overflow.
